Marcus Long
Originally from Ardmore, Oklahoma, Marcus pursued an education at East Central University in Ada, where he studied Environmental Health Science. His education at ECU sharpened and built knowledge in subjects such as microbiology, watershed management and botany. From there he carved out a career in land management and horticulture. Marcus currently works with the Oklahoma Conservation Commission as an urban soil health specialist, where he collaborates with urban communities to integrate conservation principle into landscapes of all sizes. Additionally, he partners with farmers in proximity to urban centers to help enhance local food systems.
