In order to prepare the next generation for the environmentally and economically sound practice of solid waste, the Oklahoma SWANA Chapter proudly supports several scholarship and internship programs for students studying in fields related to solid waste management.
- University of Oklahoma- Endowed Scholarship: An annual $1,500 scholarship distributed by the University of Oklahoma Foundation and awarded to outstanding students in the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences.
- Oklahoma State University- Endowed Scholarship: An annual $1,500 scholarship distributed by the Oklahoma State University Foundation and awarded to outstanding students in the Environmental Science program, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
