Allie Omens
Allie Omens is a public servant and ‘creative do-er’ focused on reducing waste sent to landfill in Nashville, Tennessee. As Zero Waste Program Coordinator for Metro Nashville Waste Services, Allie launched and now manages the day-to-day implementation of the city’s Waste Management Plan ordinance, requiring debris reporting for commercial construction and demolition projects. She also advances strategic planning and special projects in other waste streams, including diverting wasted food from landfills and encouraging effective participation in Nashville's recycling program. Allie was named SWANA’s 2023 Young Professional of the Year. She is also the SWANA Tennessee chapter’s Young Professional representative.
